ローリングストーンズ、トーキンヘッズ、ルー・リード等ミュージシャンのビジュアルデザインを手掛け、トーキンヘッズのボックスセットのデザインにて多くのデザインアワード受賞。

Stefan Sagmeister, a native of Austria, received his MFA from the University of Applied Arts in Vienna and, as a Fulbright Scholar, a master's degree from Pratt Institute in New York.

He has designed visuals for the Rolling Stones, the Talking Heads and Lou Reed. Having been nominated five times for the Grammies he finally won one for the talking Heads boxed set. He also earned won most international design awards.
In 2001 a best selling monograph about his work titled "Sagmeister, Made you Look" was published by Booth-Clibborn editions. Solo shows on Sagmeister Inc's work have been mounted in Zurich, Vienna, New York, Berlin, Tokyo, Osaka, Prague, Cologne and Seoul. He lectures extensively on all continents.

「昨年の７、８月と閖上海岸、仙台空港、多賀城、石巻、南三陸、気仙沼の被害地を廻りました、東日本大震災、人類が未だコントロール出来ない状態で開発始動された原発の福島原発事故、被害者とその地域の問題は日本国民の存在に関わる大問題でも在ります、そんな時、アーテイストはどう向き合って被災に関わって行けるのか、津波で消えた街には誰も住んでいない、原発事故地域の子供達も住み慣れた街を離れて、大人達も老人達も新しい地域に移り生活が始まりました、自然の恐怖と原発事故（死の灰）の恐怖の中で、恐怖を受けた心の傷を癒し、明日への夢を抱ける、夢をえがける勇気と希望を持てる様に、そして、私達が同時代に生きている事をどう表現して行けるのか、被災者の子供達の傷を癒そうと一緒に絵を描き続けている画家も居る、作品でこの悲惨な状況を伝える画家も居るでしょう。Art Tails の平和の絵葉書、チャリテイーカードに参加する事は、アーテイストの小さな役目でもあります。」

幾何学構成絵画と環境造型アート作品を制作、これ迄、３０ヶ国のギャラリーや美術館で作品発表、野外立体作品は４０点以上を設置している。
昨年６月、東日本大震災に関して、Solidarite Tome （連帯・登米）をパリで企画、ヨーロッパの作家達の協力を頂き、作品をオークションにかけ約１千万円を得て、登米市、宮城県、気仙沼市に義援金、災害支援金として贈る。

He began his design career in British television as a graphic designer creating titles for the innovative pop show Ready, Steady, Go!, later moving on to become an advertising art director. In 1968 he joined the Board of Conran Design Group, London.

Winner of an Oscar and other film awards, as well as numerous international design awards, including three Designers and Art Directors Association of London Silver awards. Elected to the Alliance Graphique Internationale in 1974.

In 2002, appointed an OBE for services to the British film industry in the U.S.A. and in 2006 was conferred the distinction of Royal Designer for Industry (RDI) by the Royal Society of Arts.

A graduate of the University of Florida and the University of Illinois, Lanny Sommese has been a member of the Penn State faculty since 1970 and is currently a Distinguished Professor and Head of Graphic Design. Sommese was selected as the 2010 fellow by the AIGA/Philadelphia, is a fellow of Penn State’s Institute for Arts and Humanities and, since 1998, has been a member of the Alliance Graphique Internationale.
Sommese’s posters won Gold Medals at the Triennial of the Stage Poster, Sofia, the Colorado and Bolivian Poster Biennials and the Biennial of the Poster in Mexico, where he won the Jose Guadalupe Posada Medal for best poster in show.
Feature articles about Sommese have appeared in Graphis, Communication Arts and Idea and his work is the subject of two books Lanny Sommese: World Master and Lanny Sommese: X-Ray Vision.
Additionally, Sommese has written extensively about graphic design and has been a Correspondent for Novum, a German design periodical, since 1976.

Chris Spollen work has developed over the past thirty years in his role as an illustrator.
He has worked for a broad spectrum of national clients. He is currently a professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology where he teaches digital art. In his spare time he and his brother enjoy building human powered machines.
Chris Spollen’s work is represented in several private collections and he has exhibited his work nationally recently he had his second museum show. Currently Professor Spollen is working on a series of metal and wood sculptures.
Images and subject matter range from flying ships to airplanes. The professor gathers his materials form the beaches of the small island where he currently resides. His metal work is drawn from recycled metal that he extracts from the common the household pantry. As just shown in the FIT faculty art show, these sculptures are themselves small works of at. The professor also shoots the pieces he creates digitally and with aide of a computer creates fantasy environments in which these images come alive. His art is reminiscent of a simpler time of tin toys, trains, planes, and automobiles, the unbridled bliss that is youth, with a touch of naiveté

Ralph Steadman was born in 1936. He started as a cartoonist and through the years diversified into many fields of creativity. He has illustrated such classics as "Alice in Wonderland", "Treasure Island" and "Animal Farm".

His own books include the lives of Sigmund Freud and Leonardo da Vinci and "The Big I Am", the story of God. With American writer Hunter S. Thompson he collaborated in the birth of GONZO journalism, the definitive book in the genre being "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas", which was made into a feature film. He is also a printmaker. His prints include a series of etchings on writers from William Shakespeare to William Burroughs.

In 1989 he wrote the libretto for an eco-oratorio called "Plague and the Moonflower" which has been performed in five cathedrals in the UK and was the subject of a BBC 2 film in 1994. 「 I know it's a cliche but I couldn't help it - the work actually does make people feel better. And it seems appropriate that it is made from more than 9 million people's contributions!

Statement about the work:
I collected sunsets from Flickr that had the most defined suns in them, and cropped just the suns from these images. I was looking for the most photographed subject, and found that pictures of “sunsets” were most present (541,795 in 2006, today there are 9,777,151). Each time I make a "Suns from Sunsets from Flickr" installation I do a new search for "sunset" on Flcikr and the resulting number becomes part of the title of the installation: the number accounts for the ever increasing use of web-based photo communities and is a reflection of the collective content there. And since this number only lasts an instant, its recording is analogous to the act of photographing the sunset itself.

Carla van de Puttelaar is a well-known Dutch artist. She studied at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy. She was awarded the Esther Kroon prize for her graduation project in 1996. In 2002 she was awarded the Prix de Rome, Basic Prize and in 2006 was nominated for the Prix Découverte des Rencontres d'Arles. Like the works of other contemporary Dutch photographers, such as Hellen van Meene and Desiree Dolron, her photos shows influences of the Dutch Golden Age and early Flemish painting in their composition, use of light and color, and rendering of textures and surfaces. Painters such as Vermeer, Cranach, Botticelli, Van der Weijden and Van Eijck are a great source of inspiration for her.
Her photography shows the intimacy of the female body with an emphasis on the surface of the skin. Moles can be seen clearly, as well as more temporal marks, such as bruises or the imprint of underwear in the skin. They enhance the intimacy of the picture, loading it with tension. Distance is being created first and foremost by the use of color. Often, the skin will have a porcelain appearance, delicate, fragile. Color also creates a sculptural feel, elaborated by the light and framing of the compositions.
Her work is shown in museums and galleries all over the world, such as in Amsterdam, Berlin, Budapest, Brussels, Chicago, London, New York, Paris and Rome. Her work is represented in the collections of, for example, La Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris, Museum Winterthur, The museum of Photography in The Hague and the Caldic Collection. In 2004 her first monograph with an introduction by the well-known Dutch author Rudy Kousbroek was published. In 2008 two monographs were published with introductions by authors Kristien Hemmerechts and Bob Frommé, respectively. Recently her fourth book was published: Jewel Box, Light on Legs. In addition, her work has been featured along side that of other artists in many books and magazines, such as The New York Times Magazine, Le Monde and The New Yorker.

「 My heart goes out to the people of Japan. Though my recent visit to the Tohoku region brought me great sadness, I have great hope for the future of Japan and its people. My wife Kira and I once lived in Japan and made life-long friends there, part of our souls will always reside there.

Hatsu-Yume (First Dream), 1981 is a visual journey of the camera eye through the landscape of Japan, from the rural areas of the far north, location of the “land of the dead” at Osorezan mountain, to the luminous nocturnal underworld of the streets of modern Tokyo. The work is structured on the cycle of one day, the dividing line of light and darkness, the ancient and the new, nature and city, subject and object, rational thought and unconscious insight. 」

For over 40 years Bill Viola has created architectural video installations, video films, sound environments, electronic music performances, flat panel video pieces, and works for television broadcast, as well as music concerts, opera, and sacred spaces. His works are shown in museums and galleries worldwide and are found in many distinguished collections. His single channel videotapes have been widely distributed on DVD, while his writings have been extensively published and translated for international readers. From 1980 Viola lived in Japan for a year and a half where they studied Zen Buddhism with Master Daien Tanaka, and Viola became the first artist-in-residence at Sony Corporation’s Atsugi research laboratories. In 1995 Viola represented the U.S. in the 46th Venice Biennale. In 1997 the Whitney Museum of American Art organized “Bill Viola: A 25-Year Survey” and in 2003 “Bill Viola: The Passions,” was exhibited at the J. Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles. “Bill Viola: Hatsu-Yume (First Dream)” (2006-2007), drew over 340,000 visitors to the Mori Art Museum in Tokyo. His most recent awards include the XXI Catalonia International Prize from the Government of Catalonia, 2009, and the Praemium Imperiale prize in the category of painting from the Japan Art Association in 2011. Bill Viola lives and works in Long Beach, California with Kira Perov, his wife and long-time collaborator.

Massimo Vitali was born in Como, Italy, in 1944.

He moved to London after high school, where he studied Photography at the London College of Printing.

In the early Sixties he started working as a photojournalist, collaborating with many magazines and agencies in Italy and Europe. It was during this time that he met Simon Guttman, the founder of the agency Report, who was to become fundamental in Massimo's growth as a “Concerned Photographer.”

At the beginning of the Eighties, a growing mistrust in the belief that photography had an absolute capacity to reproduce the subtleties of reality led to a change in his career path. He began working as a cinematographer for television and cinema. However, his relation ship with the still camera never ceased, and he eventually turned his attention back to “photography as a means for artistic research.”

His series of Italian beach panoramas began in the light of drastic political changes in Italy. Massimo started to observe his fellow countrymen very carefeully. He depicted a “sanitized, complacent view of Italian normalities,” at the same time revealing “the inner conditions and disturbances of normality: its cosmetic fakery, sexual innuendo, commodified leisure, deluded sense of affluence, and rigid conformism. Over the past 12 years he has developed a new approach to portraying the world, illuminating the apotheosis of the Herd, expressing and commenting through the most intriguing, palpable forms of contemporary art – Photography.

In 1995 he commended the Beach Series.

He lives and work in Lucca, Italy, and in Berlin, Germany.

Heinz Waibl was born in Verona (Italy) in 1931,
He got a degree in Milan Art School and two year course in architecture at Milan Polytechnic.
From ’50 to ’54 he was an apprentice and later assistant to Max Huber, with whom he started graphic courses at the Umanitaria school in Milan (‘59-’63). As Huber’s assistant he prepared the futuristic RAI pavilions at the Milan Fair, designed by the architect Castiglioni.
Waibl joined Unimark International, Chicago (‘67-’71) and worked for J.C. Penney, Levi’s and Transunion Corporations, among others. Back to Milan in ‘71 he founded Signo, together
with Laura Micheletto, soon gaining customers. AGI and ADI's member from 1974.
He is also head of visual design at the Scuola Politecnica di Design. In ‘83 he designed a poster for the great exhibition at Triennale di Milano “From the spoon to the townthrought the works of 100 designers”; he designed the BTicino pavilions for the Intel fair (‘85, ‘87, ‘89, ‘90); In ‘98 he created the visual identity for the archeological museum “La Civitella” di Chieti. His personal monograph “Progettando” realised in ‘90, had the recent Gillo Dorfles’s contribution: He wrote a critic analysis that celebrates the graphic design actuality of Waibl’s work.

He has won many awards including the Alfred Eisenstadt award for magazine photography and the World Press Photo award for the arts. He lives in Austin, TX with his wife and son.

「The idea behind this poster is expressed by the slogan: WE ARE ALL JAPANESE!This is a paraphrase of the famous President’s Kennedy “Ich bin ein Berliner”, an historic statement meant to show solidarity with the people of West Berlin in the midst of the Cold War.

The analogy with the 2011 Japanese tsunami is clear: in a time when Nature stroke with such an unprecedented force, leaving only death and desolation behind, the whole World voice empathy and solidarity with the courageous Japanese people.

In this poster the terrestrial globe metamorphoses into the red disk of the Japanese flag.
The passage from a planetary reality to a graphic representation is the ultimate image expression of the slogan WE ARE ALL JAPANESE!
The date 11/ 03 / 2011 anchors the event in time.

冷戦時代の最中、ケネディ大統領が西ベルリン市民に団結を呼びかけた歴史的な演説のスローガン「私はベルリン市民である」がこの作品の「WE ARE ALL JAPANESE!」に隠された意図です。

Nelu Wolfensohn is a professor of graphic design with the School of Design of the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM), director of CRIN (Digital Images Research Centre) and founder of the Concepts For All project, the first free of charge Internet image bank dedicated to the humanitarian causes.

A poster artist of international reputation, his work in this field is well known and received more than 150 awards in Chicago, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Montreal, New York, Paris, Seoul, Toyama, Toronto, Warsaw and Zurich and is part of various museums, libraries and private collections.
In 2010, 27 posters were included in the permanent collection of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.

Hiroshi Watanabe was born in Sapporo, Japan. He graduated from Department of Photography, College of Art, at Nihon University in 1975. He moved to Los Angeles after graduation and became involved in the production of TV commercials, eventually working as a producer. He later established his own production company. He received an MBA degree from UCLA Business School in 1993. In 1995 his passion for photography rekindled, and since then he has traveled worldwide extensively, photographing what he finds intriguing at that moment and place. In 2001 he closed the production company in order to devote himself to the art and became a full time photographer.
His work has been published and exhibited numerous times in various countries. He received many awards including International Photography Awards (2003), Black & White Spider Awards (2004, 2005), Photolucida Critical Mass Book Award (2006), Sagamihara Photo Award (2007), Santa Fe Center Project Competition First Prize (2008), and Hearst 8x10 Photography Biennial (2009). His work is in the collections of Philadelphia Museum of Art, Houston Museum of Fine Arts, George Eastman House, and Santa Barbara Museum of Art.

Born in Mexico in 1972. Studied Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Communication Design in the Metropolitan Autonomous University (UAM-X) and the Master at the Visual Art in the San Carlos Academy (UNAM). She started professionally in 1997, in which she collaborated with the National Council of Fine Arts (CONACULTA) with works for theater, dance, music. Her personal works include subjects such as the violence,the hunger, the children’s human rights and the nature.
She won prices like: The third award in the V Computer Art Biennale in Rzeszów-Poland (2002), the Philippe Apeloig prize in Ningbo-China (2001), The Quorum award in Mexico City (2001), the third place in the XI Valle de Aosta Cinema International festival in Italy, “Stambecco d’Oro” whit the subject: “Animals and their environment. Look of the future, look after nature” in Aosta-Italy (1999), and the First place in the fourth National Poster Contest “The girls and boys rights”, with the subject of 10 years of children rights (1999), among others. Part of her works have been selected in different exhibitions around in places like: Slovakia, USA, Bulgaria, Korea, Czech Republic, China, Poland, Italy, Russia, Japan, Turkey, and Mexico.
Some publications have published her work like: The magazine OTOT (Tel Aviv-Israel, 2001), the magazine HOW (U.S.A., 2002), the magazine Designer (Moscow-Rusia, 2003), the Iranian Graphic Designers Society Newspaper JAHAT-E-ETELAE (2003), the book Leve Plakaten! for the anniversary of the Poster’s Museum (Arthus-Denmark, 2004), the book All Men Are Brothers (Germany-China, 2006), the magazine Computer Arts (England, 2006), the magazine KNOC (Nagoya-Japan, 2008), the book Marcas & Trademarks de México (Barcelona, 2009) y the book Master Pieces (Slovenia, 2009), Diseño Gráfico en México - 100 años (México, 2010), among others.
She has worked as Art Director for some advertising agencies in Mexico City and at the moment is working as a freelance designer in diverse cultural and social multidisciplinary proyects.
